Peace Feasts are a simple way of bringing people together around food and conversation. They usually take place in restaurants or community centres, and celebrate the cuisine and the contribution of a particular community in the city. They always involve lots of delicious food! They have also proven to be really popular events. Each time we run a Peace Feast we are reminded that there is something really powerful about people sharing a meal together. We are always open to anyone who wants to be involved — if you’d like to attend a Peace Feast, or even set one up near you, get in touch!
I had a great evening, lots of laughs and great conversations with people from other cultures and faiths that I wouldn't have met otherwise. My narrow stereotype thinking was totally challenged!
A night of beautiful food, people and conversation. I really love the ethos behind Peacefeast; just people making friends and sharing a meal. Simple!
It was wonderful to be able to meet so many new people who we have the privilege of living alongside in Cardiff. It really was a great celebration of refugees, their stories, their courage, their kindness and all of their delicious food!
Event was very informative, especially meeting and interacting with people of different faiths and cultures. I definitely think that these types of events are very beneficial for integrating communities.
